In 1965 when my children were all in school and I had the house all to myself, I began to explore the new medium of acrylics. I took advantage of the vistas provided by Mill Creek which flowed by our house in Annapolis, MD. I painted large panels 4’x8’, 4’x4’, 3’x4’, gessoing these large panels on the driveway outside our house. I started at first with abstractions (Dike) and gradually transitioned into imagery of water (Wave). In the fall of 2016, I was honored by forty two co-residents of Heron Point, my current home, who purchased a painting of mine. It hangs in the stair way leading to the dining room. I painted this work in acrylic on Monhegan Island during the summer of 2006. It is of an ice pond there. It was exhibited at the University of New England Museum (UNE), at Maryland Hall, at Wesley Hall – Heron Point and now at its final resting place. Now, I along with others can see it every day. Today, I continue to work in this medium. Joanne Scott Credenza Heron Point Chestertown, MD
